Custom made screws black metal galvanizing hex socket screws supplier
Custom made screws are fasteners according to request or drawing and customizable packaging. A fastener is a hardware device that mechanically joins or affixes two or more objects together. Bolts are thus closely related to, and often confused with, screws.
Bolts are often used to make a bolted joint. This is a combination of the nut applying an axial clamping force and also the shank of the bolt acting as a dowel, pinning the joint against sideways shear forces. For this reason, many bolts have a plain unthreaded shank as this makes for a better, stronger dowel. The presence of the unthreaded shank has often been given as a characteristic of bolts vs. screws, but this is incidental to its use, rather than defining.
Galvanization, or galvanisation, (or galvanizing as it is most commonly called in that industry), is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron, to prevent custom made screws rusting. The most common method is hot-dip galvanizing, in which parts are submerged in a bath of molten zinc. The hex socket screw drive has a hexagonal recess and may be driven by a hex wrench, also known as an Allen wrench, Allen key, hex key or bus as well as by a hex screwdriver (also known as a hex driver) orbit. Tamper-resistant versions with a pin in the recess are available.
The German company Bauer & Schaurte patented the hex socket 1936 in Germany and offered products based on it to the market. The abbreviation “Incubus” is derived from “Innensechskant Bauer & Schulte”, analogous to the US use of “Allen key”.
