Full thread bolt fully threaded bolts T head bolt galvanizing
Full thread bolt is also known as fully threaded bolt, the bolt is all threaded under the head. Ever Hardware provides custom made full thread bolt and customizable packaging.
A bolt is a form of threaded fastener with an external male thread. Bolts are thus closely related to, and often confused with, screws.
The distinction between a bolt and a screw is unclear and commonly misunderstood. There are several practical differences, but most have some degree of overlap between bolts and screws.
The defining distinction, per Machinery’s Handbook, is in their intended purpose: Bolts are for the assembly of two unthreaded components, with the aid of a nut. Screws in contrast are used with components, at least one of which contains its own internal thread, which even may be formed by the installation of the screw itself. Many threaded fasteners can be described as either screws or bolts, depending on how they are used.
Galvanization, or galvanisation, (or galvanizing as it is most commonly called in that industry), is the process of applying a protective zinc coating to steel or iron, to prevent full thread bolt rusting. The most common method is hot-dip galvanizing, in which parts are submerged in a bath of molten zinc. Galvanizing protects in three ways:
It forms a coating of zinc which, when intact, prevents corrosive substances from reaching the underlying steel or iron.
The zinc serves as a sacrificial anode so that even if the coating is scratched, the exposed steel will still be protected by the remaining zinc.
The zinc protects its base metal by corroding before iron. For better results, application of chromates over zinc is also seen as an industrial trend.
