M6 Screw 6 Lobe Pan Head Machine Threaded Dacromet Coating Supply
The M6 screw is commonly used in machine parts, die fixtures, and clamping. The flat socket head enables driving where there is not sufficient space for wrenches or sockets, and allows the screw head to sit flush with the surface. Ever Hardware provides the custom-made M6 screw and customizable packaging.
Torx developed in 1967 by Camcar Textron, is the trademark for a type of screw head characterized by a 6-point star-shaped pattern. Torx screws are commonly found on automobiles, motorcycles, bicycle brake systems (disc brakes), hard disk drives, computer systems and consumer electronics. Initially, they were sometimes used in applications requiring tamper resistance, since the drive systems and screwdrivers were not widely available; as drivers became more common, tamper-resistant variants, as described below, were developed. Torx screws are also becoming increasingly popular in construction industries.
Dacromet is the leading inorganic coating specified by automotive companies worldwide and is a proven coating system in many industries. A water-based, VOC compliant coating, dacromet is comprised mainly of overlapping zinc and aluminum flake in an inorganic binder.
Four Way Corrosion Protection
Barrier Protection: Overlapping zinc and aluminum flakes provide an excellent barrier between the steel substrate and the corrosive media
Galvanic Action: Zinc corrodes to protect steel
Passivation: Metal oxides slow down the corrosion reaction of zinc and steel to provide 3 times greater corrosion protection than pure zinc
Self-Repairing: Zinc oxides and carbonates migrate to the damaged area of the coating to actively repair the coating and restore barrier protection.
