Pan washer brass screw is the screw made of brass with a pan washer head. The screws usually used on electronics. Brass makes its good electrical conductivity. Brass is used for decoration for its bright gold-like appearance; for applications where low friction is required. Ever Hardware provides custom-made fasteners and customizable packaging.
The Phillips screw drive was created by John P. Thompson, who after failing to interest manufacturers, sold his design to businessman Henry F. Phillips. Phillips is credited with forming a company (Phillips Screw Company), improving the design, and promoting the adoption of his product. The original patent expired in 1966, but the Phillips Screw Company continued to develop improved designs.
Phillips drive bits are often designated by the letters “PH”, plus a size code 0000, 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 (by order of increasing size); the numerical bit size codes do not necessarily correspond to nominal screw size numbers.
The pan washer head design could possibly be the most versatile head design available. It combines the advantages of the pan head but has a washer built on to the head to increase head diameter and prevent overdriving in softwoods while providing a maximum bearing surface. These fasteners have Square-Phillips combo recess drive designed to offer the dependability of a square drive recess with the convenience and after-market serviceability of a Phillips drive. In addition, they have coarse thread design for superior holding power while reducing splitting or crumbling of the material, allowing the fastener to install rapidly with full thread engagement after just one revolution. The thread surface is nearly perpendicular to the screw axis, providing great resistance to pullout.
